Azienda Fratelli Muratori,
Italy
There are four different specially selected sites within the Archipelago especially
chosen for each type of wine according to location, soil and climate.
Franciacorta, Lombardy is well known in Italy for its quality sparkling wines.
The vineyards at Fratelli Muratori were specially selected by Francesco Iacano
close to Lake Iseo. Their sparkling white DOCG wines of Franciacorta are made
by the traditional method with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grape varieties and
are every sip as good as great Champagne!
The white wines of Sannio, Campania are made from the most prestigious
white indigenous varieties of Falanghina, Fiano, Greco, Coda di Volpe and Coda
di Pecora giving a refreshing change to the grape varieties often seen in the
UK.
The grapes of Parracine and Giardini Arimei are grown in Ischia, an
island of volcanic origin close to Capri.
The exquisite red wines of Rubbia Al Colle, Val Di Cornia are
from Suvereto, Maremma, Tuscany and are made
from International and Native varieties. The flat plains produce wine for easy
drinking; the
foothills produce more complex, full bodied wines and the hillsides produce the
most robust and complex wine for drinking and keeping. All the wines made here
have great character, elegance and style.
